Irish Fly Craft
Jimmy Tyrrell – Professional Fly Dresser, Writer, Fishing Guide & Casting Instructor
I tie flies professionally and run a fly tying business. I also write articles on flies and fly tying for both the Irish Angler magazine and the Irish Times newspaper.
I do fly tying exhibitions at shows and fairs around the country and also run fly tying classes. If there are any budding fly tiers out there that are interested in taking up the art of fly tying, I have several step by steps on the website as well as videos. The three flies in the pictures are from the top The Golden Olive, the Golden Olive Dabbler and the Golden Olive Mayfly. These are three fantastic traditional Irish Lough patterns that work anywhere.
A vast selection of flies is available. Everything from the smallest dry flies and nymphs to a big selection of Salmon flies. I carry a good stock of flies but if I don’t have what you need in stock I will gladly tie them for you and get them to you as quickly as possible.
Fly tying has been a passion of mine for a very long time. I tie flies every day even if it is only a couple to take fishing with. I get great satisfaction teaching the art of fly tying.
